What makes a correction useful
- Identify the record
Include the utility name or PWSID and, when relevant, the contaminant or reporting period.
- Link the primary source
A state registry, Consumer Confidence Report, or laboratory record helps us verify the discrepancy.
- Describe the mismatch
Tell us what PurityMap shows, what the source shows, and why the two appear to differ.

Corrections are evaluated against the cited source record.
- Reviewed
A reviewer checks it against the source before any page is updated.
- Page updated
If a change is warranted, the page is updated with a visible modification date.
